Torsion in Gastropods- The visceral mass was twisted 180 degrees from the ancestral mollusc

This is the dorsal view. Notice the two dark nerve cords coming from the ganglia near the eyes.

You can see the snail operculum as the snail is coming out of its shell. The operculum is a "trap door" or shield that seals the snail inside.
