Musical Notes:

“First Impressions On Earth” is the third album released by the Strokes, a rock band formed in New York City in 1998.  This album was released in 2006.

Here’s the opening track and one of my favorites:

“Pangea” is a song by the indie band Someone Still Loves You Boris Yelstin.  It’s from their debut album, Broom, released in 2005.  Although the song talks about a relationship, it has this line which will make more sense after we’ve talked about Pangea and continental drift:

“pangea we used to be together, why’d we have to drift apart”
