IMG_3024NEXT WEEK IS FARM SCHOOL!  6th and 7th graders will be sent out on a Farm School Expedition.  There will be no science classes for the next two weeks because the Farm School curriculum is science-based.  8th graders will continue to work on their Science Newsflash project during the week that they are not at Farm School.

Musical notes:

The title of Homework #4 comes from the album “Lifted or The Story Is in the Soil, Keep your Ear to the Ground” by the band, Bright Eyes.  The band consists of singer-songwriter/guitarist Conor Oberst, multi-instrumentalist/producer Mike Mogis, and Nate Wolcott, and they are often joined by a rotating roster of muscians.  This album was considered the breakthrough album for the band.  Conor Oberst has been recording music since the age of 13. He released his first three albums at the ages of 13, 14, 15, respectively, all under the name “Conor Oberst” and released only on cassettes.  Here’s a song from their album and a video (not from the album) for one of the sweetest love songs of all time.
