2) Study for QUIZ on Light
Quiz Dates:
Block I: next Tuesday, Jan. 17
Block II: Friday, Jan. 13
Block III: next Wednesday, Jan. 18
Here’s what you need to know for the quiz:
- What are the wavelength, amplitude, and frequency of a wave?
- The Electromagnetic spectrum- Which types of waves have lower/higher energy? (You don’t need to memorize each type, but you need to be able to explain which types have a higher/lower energy based on their frequency.)
- Colors
- How do pigments work?
- How do filters work?
- How to measure angles of incidence/reflection.
- How to predict the path of a reflected ray.

Heeeeeeeeey Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiff,
I was wondering when the light activity book is due for Block II. My assignment log says it is due tuesday, but this week’s block schedule says I don’t have science tuesday. Help Me! I have school tomorrow!!!
Chapter 1-3 are due on Thursday. There are block changes for the next two weeks.
Tiff when you say (You don’t need to memorize each type, but you need to be able to explain which types have a higher/lower energy based on their frequency.) For example red has a lower frequency than green or ultra violet light has more energy than visible light OR BOTH????
Both.
I want to quote a definition from the readings. I probably have to site it don’t I. If so, can you possibly reply with the information for a bibliography or maybe REPLY WITH ONE…
Try not to quote the definition. Write it in your own words. But about the Bibliography, I’ll give you the sheet tomorrow or you can find it under “Resources”
…
Thanks Tiff.
Hey Tiff,
How many chapters does my Light Book have to be because so far I have done chapters one and two. Do I have to do all of the chapters?
Yes, the entire book is due on Thursday.
Are the different types of electromagnetic light the things we took notes on for Electromegnetic Spectrum? Radio waves, Ultraviolet, etc…
Yes, and there is more info in your reading
hi tiff so for the soft cell homework, i don’t know what to do for #4
What do you mean? I don’t see a question #4.
